Building Children’s Hearts and Minds So They Can Soar. Be a Duck’s mission is to help children feel great about themselves for who they are. To empower them to find their voice and teach them that they have a choice in the way that they are treated.

We are so excited about our program, “Be a Duck.” It is about helping children believe in themselves and empowering them be the best that they can be. Like water rolls right off the back of a duck, so too will negativity roll right off the backs of our children.

Many times children are bombarded with negativity. It comes from all directions and in many cases they are defenseless. “Be a Duck” gives the children the skills to overcome and triumph over the many negative influences they experience everyday behavior.

The program teaches the children that they have a choice. They can choose to be a sponge or a duck. If they hear or experience something that is positive and they wish to accept it, they can absorb it like a sponge. If it is something that is negative and they wish to avoid it and change direction, they can be a duck and let if roll right off of their backs and swim away. There are wonderful segments in the program that give children the skills they need to get them on their way to being the greatest duck they can be.

We want children to believe in themselves and empower them to embrace who they are as an individual. We want to help them to develop the skills to protect their hearts and minds from negativity and build their inner strength..
